SAYLA Monthly CLE Luncheon - January 2023 SAYLA is ecstatic to kick off its 2023 CLE Programming! As a reminder, our monthly CLE luncheons are held at Paesanos Lincoln Heights at 555 E. Basse Road, San Antonio, TX 78209 from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm. We are so lucky to have Justice Beth Watkins of the Fourth Court of Appeals and SAYLA Board Member Nadeen Abou-Hossa of Gonzalez, Chiscano, Angulo & Kasson, PC to be our first presenters for 2023. So You Want to Appeal?: A Checklist for Your First Civil Appeal Justice Beth Watkins and Nadeen Abou-Hossa will discuss the steps practitioners should take when deciding to appeal. The presenters will discuss final judgments, interlocutory and permissive appeals, and mandamus proceedings. They will also discuss the logistics of filing an appeal such as filing the notice of appeal, deadlines to appeal, extending deadlines, and advising clients of time and cost.
