Attorneys of all ages and law students are welcomed and encouraged to join SAYLA. To be eligible for membership, one must be an attorney:

•  licensed to practice law in the highest courts of the State of Texas and who will be 36 years of age or younger as of June 1st of the year for which membership is sought, or

•  licensed to practice law in the State of Texas for 36 months or less as of June 1st of the year for which membership is sought, regardless of age.

Attorneys not meeting the above criteria and law students are eligible to join SAYLA as an associate member. Associate members receive all the benefits of regular membership with the exception of casting a vote in the election of the SAYLA Board of Directors.

Membership is valid from June 1st through May 31st of the year during which dues are paid.
