Courthouse Tour and Judicial Reception

Description

The Courthouse Tour and Judicial Reception Committee is responsible for planning the SAYLA’s Annual Courthouse Tour and Judicial Reception.  The Committee is split into two subcommittees: one to assist with the Courthouse Tour, and the other to assist with the Judicial Reception.  The Courthouse Tour subcommittee will recruit speakers for the Tour, compile materials for the attendees, and assist with the logistics of the event.  The Judicial Reception subcommittee will solicit sponsors for the event, publicize the event to local attorneys and judges, and help with checking in attendees at the Reception.

Time Commitment

The time commitment will likely average an hour a week from August until the events, which will typically be held in October or November.  Time commitments are flexible, and will largely consist of sending emails and making phone calls. 

Key Dates (tentative)

Month of October:  Final planning and preparation for the events; will likely require a few hours a week.

October 29, 2009:  The day of the events; will likely require a half-day at either the Courthouse Tour or Judicial Reception.
