SAYLA YOUNG LAWYER MOCK-TRIAL TOURNAMENT AND TRIAL TRAINING SPEAKER SERIES

Mock-Trial Tournament

Exciting news for San Antonio’s Young Lawyers! SAYLA is hosting a Mock-Trial Tournament, which is set for July 17, 2010. 

Details:

• The SAYLA Mock-Trial Tournament will be open to all SAYLA members, except members of the SAYLA Board of Directors. 
•  The SAYLA Mock-Trial Tournament will consist of two-person trial teams who will participate in a multiple-round elimination-style tournament. 
• Registration is only $50.00 per team!

SAYLA is looking forward to your participation in the tournament.  In addition, SAYLA is seeking the participation of local judges and seasoned trial attorneys to help judge the tournament. 

Trial Training Speaker Series

In conjunction with the tournament, SAYLA is offering a trial training speaker series during the March, April, and May SAYLA monthly luncheons. 

• On March 16, 2010, Roberto Rios of the Rios Law Firm will be speaking on the topics of voir dire and opening statements. 
• On April 20, 2010, Jose Hinojosa of Oppenheimer, Blend, Harrison, & Tate, Inc. will be speaking on the topics of direct examination and cross examination. 
• On May 18, 2010, Howard Newton of Cox Smith will be speaking on the topics of closing statements and evidentiary issues.
